Linking up with...

Not quite sure how everyone makes their linky pics...but here's my contribution.
1.  Created a form for checking out books.  I have an old 'white' macbook that I don't use for anything else, therefore I thought it would work best for book checkouts.  I have struggled every year for the best way to check out books from the classroom (my) library.  We'll see how this works.

2.  In a previous blog I mentioned that I was changing to a bright and bold owl theme...I just love the owl from kpm doodles.  AND it seems like there is a lot of 'owl' stuff out there that's not the typical brown owls...I don't like those owls since they seem to get our kittens and baby pheasants...sorry nature lovers.

  2. I used a Google Form this year as my check out system. It worked GREAT! My kiddos lost a lot less books this year, and I always knew what they were reading. Good luck!

  3. We are going to try Classroom Organizer @ http://classroom.booksource.com/ to keep track off our books. I am not sure how long it will take to get them logged in though:) Looking forward to seeing what you come up with in Google docs.

  4. This is a smart way to keep track of things easily. Using the owl theme makes it something which would be more fun. The theme can be changed every month or every year, of course, as desired. Google forms has a reputation for being a simple and effective way to stay organized.

  5. I saw a blog post about using google forms for library checkout. I would probably go that route if I let students bring my books home. My students don't. I hope that goes well for you! Also, an owl theme for your classroom or blog?
