One of the first programs I teach my 4th graders in technology class is powerpoint. I start out with them making a ppt about themselves, social studies reports on states, and we've done book reviews ...but I'm looking for other ideas.
Any suggestions?

My second graders use power point for an "All About Me" book (early in the year) and a "Second Grade Memories Book" (we add to it throughout the year). I usually provide the template. You can add pages for field trips, special events, parties, different units of study, etc. Then we print and they illustrate/decorate and we bind it. Later in the year they are able to handle inserting pictures, too.
ReplyDeleteI think of my school would have 2nd graders doing ppt, we could do some very creative things by 4th...

What about a Powerpoint about your school's expectations? This way, the students powerpoints could be sent out to other classrooms for teachers to share with their students. It would give them a real audience!

Jennifer- thanks...by 4th grade all students should know the expectations...but what a good way to reinforce them and not have the students being TAUGHT them again.
